We are learning cooperation in times of crisis

A ‘lesson’ for the new generation

We all feel as if we have been on a short leash lately, but just like this pup, we are learning how to live in cooperation with others.

Today is Monday and currently 2:54p.m., day 22,345 in quarantine. My day so far has been great. I’m babysitting with my step-mother and its a big workout. I planned to be active until I can do sports again.

But anyways back to the real deal: this coronavirus. I would say it is killing the politicians and their choices because now it’s serious. Maryland Governor Larry Hogan has demanded that everyone be in their house before 8 p.m. sharp, and if not they will be in jail and fined for $5000.

Now my opinon on this at first was “this is insane, like, literally.” Then my friends and I noted that it is going to have to be this way because no one wants to cooperate. They have to make these rules for our safety and help the virus move out quicker. The banks, local stores, or any uneccessary business are closed for good  reasons. Some of the businesses in my area are still running, but they are taking big precautions as we proceed to get the virus cleared.

Some people are worried because they need income and their families may be hard hit. However, government officials are taking big steps. They aren’t laughing about this. I feel as though our city should take it seriously at this moment.

GREETINGS! This week was actually good and miserable for me. Before I go, I want to talk about how it would feel when the coronavirus is dealt with. I think that once we all are able to step outside for good this time without curfew and worry about people coughing, I think this is a lesson for us to learn about our country and other countries. In times like this we all should be prepared and not wait till the last minute to get everything in order.

For the new generation we need to think twice before we do anything in a crisis because we want to do what we want when we want to, and that is not how things work, so we need to work on obedience even if we don’t like it.
